I wanted to use  text to  make the image of the a mermaid and i broke it up to give the illusion of it swimming. I wanted give the same illusion with the hippocampus. I choose the back to make it look like everything is underwater, I choose the fonts that would go with the Greek mythology theme of the book. I wanted to make sure that the two biggest aspects of the book where represented by the cover.  I wanted to utilize my text and making the words into shapes helped make the text more interesting to look at. I felt it made the cover more inviting.  I used the images to represent the ocean and the font to represent Greek Mythology.
